Japan Free n Easy Trip Day 1 (26/3/08)

Singapore > Tokyo Narita > Ueno

Book the air tickets to Tokyo 4 months ago as Northwest Airline was having promotion. My sis spend one month to plan for the whole trip and my job is just to follow her during the trip. Haha.

Finally the day has arrived. Our flight to Tokyo will depart at 6am. We have a very early breakfast at Burger King. We reached Japan 1 hr before target time, but there is a very long queue at the immigration counter. We have to scan our fingerprints and have our photo taken as these are new security measures.

After clearing the immigration and collected our luggages, we took the Keisei limited express train to Ueno (Abt 75mins, 1000Yen). Our hotel is 10mins walk from the train station. After checking into Super hotel, we visited Ueno park to see sakura. It is my first time seeing sakura and they are almost full bloom. The feeling is great. Many of the locals are having pinics under the trees.



After that, we went to Ameyoko cho to buy some facial products from one of the drugstores there. For dinner, we have unagi, tempura set (2500 yen) at a 100 yr old high class restaurant.
